Dita999 > Sunday April 20th 2008 ~ Pink Galah - When I was little my fraternal grandparents had a pet one called "Cockie" mean as hell it bit everybody except my Nan unfortunatly my Nan died when I was 3 and Cockie lived another 20 years believe it or not and survived two floods on top of the cupboard just sat there until his owners came back but like I said he was mean so for the years following Nan's death he bit anyone who ever fed him guess no one ever told him about that old saying about not biting the hand that feeds you ... Not sure what it was with my G'parents and mean pets cos they had a dog and there rooster that where all as ferocious as each other (and I was duly terrified off each collecting eggs had me traumatised for years lol) - Anyway thats another story but you won't believe this another day another Dr's appointment it would seem Daniel got over his flu and now has Gastro and Vomitting which I kinda saw coming since my friends littlies had it when I was helping her take care of them the other day ... On the high side he didn't have it all at once he got them separately which seems has been better for him well see you tomorrow

Dita999 > Friday 18th April 2008 ~ Another from the sunset on storm collection I got terrible photo's today it has been bucketing down all day and the light was awful but it was not a photo day with out benefit as I did learn quite a few things about light today ... Yay 4 me ...

Dita999 > Thursday April 17th 2008 ~ My Baby Brothers 17th Birthday ~ Well as u know Daniel & I are sick well my friend that does foster care is too and the small tribe of kids all in nappies are really sick to so I decided to partake in a random act of kindness and go over and help her I got there at 6_45am and am only getting home now 8:30pm and we are going back tommorow again so I can not poist any of the very few photos I took today because of the subjects so here is were I should have spent the day (If I was well and it was warm ...wishful thinkingLOL)This is Burliegh Heads Beach again only this is looking in the exact opposite direction than the last photo I posted in the Dailies This is a National Park ant it streches around that point there along the other side to another beach it is a lovely walk ... Well guys til tommorrow CYA

Dita999 > Wednesday 16th April 2008 ~ Okay this wasn't taken today BUT I have been taking a photo a day but today I got nothin you would wanna see and nothing I would inflict on you in good conscience so with that said here we are with a photo of our only walk bridge over the Brisbane River They call it The Goodwill Bridge I couldn't guess why They have taken the trouble to put in several decks That are un obscured by th design of the bridge that you can stand on and take quite good pics without having half a bridge in your shot quite considerate of them I thought obviously I wasn't standing on one when I took this photo (but I wanted the bridge - thats my story anyway) its actually A LOT bigger than it appears in this pic but this is the major part of the design which I don't find particually attractive But each to there own taste - Again I shall finish my raving here and say seeya tomorrow Til Then Have an excellent day behind your cameras

Dita999 > Tuesday 15th April 2008 ~ The aptly named Noisy Minah drinking from the flowers in the umbrella tree down the side (popular hangout .... if your a bird or me armed with a camera) lorikeets drink til there drunk Minahs seem to be able to hold there nectar and don't end up flying dangerously low and hitting windows etc But unlike the lorikeet they are not big on sharing outside of there own kind and don't mind throwing there weight around which can be rather entertaining to watch unless of course you are there target anyway enough from me ... BTW still working on pics from yesterdays sunset storm Hoping to have them uploaded to SmugMug Thursday will let you know Have a lovely Day :)

Dita999 > Monday 14th April 2008 ~ This afternoon we had a storm right on sunset these are the clouds on sunset - just as the moon first became visable just seconds before for the evening - the sky was pink red purple and brilliant orange I got some great pics which I plan on adding a few pics to my home album I will add the link when its done so you can see the amazing beauty I saw this afternoon right from my drive way :)

Dita999 > Sunday 13th April 2008 ~ Another City view from a different part of town this is taken from Southbank Parklands the place where they held Expo 88 there is a walk along the river front where this was taken there are man made beaches (ugly but HUGELY popular) and lagoons markets resturaunts you name it its there all the swimming and gardens are free there are lots of street preformances and bands most days those are free to the markets are pretty good but they are always packed but It can be a good day out there are So Daniel had his first train ride yesterday he was most impressed on the way in by the way home he was over it but so was Mum and I

21ST APRIL 2008~ Ok I missed you guys :) ...Really I am going to catch up slowly over the next 2 days adding my pics when ever Daniel is having a sleep or not looking for my attention (Which is all the time poor bugger has been so sick) 3 Dr appointments since the 20th he's had gastro and vomitting right on the back of that flu .... I took this pic a while ago before I knew I had macro on my camera lol The rest of the pics I am adding where taken on the day but these butterrflys are really common here you see them evey where NOT the prettiest we have that spot is reserved for the Dunk Is butterfly (in my opinion) But butterflys is butterflys and they are all pretty and fragile so I will be back sporadically (big word hope I spelt it right lol) thru out today and tommorrow and hopefully catch up on your albums as I catch up my own :)
