Dita999 > Here we are at "Eprapah" a local national park with several walking tracks and even boardwalks over the mangroves it is truly beautiful aand an excellent place to spend a day or even two
Dita999 > The board walk unfortunatly 6 years of drought has ravaged the water the last time I was here some 9 years ago akll you could see was water lapping up to the edges of the boardwalk all these trees trunks' were partically submerged it was amazing
Dita999 > Boardwalk again ~ Let's pray for rain ... it's all we can do I suppose and conserve the little we have
Dita999 > These flowers were everywhere unsure what kind they are but they were on trees by the hundreds and each on was infested by those little black insects you can see perhaps they are some kind of host of something they didn't appear to be eating or destroying the plants so ?????
Dita999 > One of the pools ~ They are so shallow now it is so very sad to see such a beautiful place in this kind of shape
Dita999 > This is the Platypus Pool obviously were Platypus live they heard us coming because as we appeoached we heard somethind rush through long grass and splash into the water ~ Under the log which would usually be (except for the fact we are in drought conditions) underwater look like the kind of caverns they usually make there homes
Dita999 > Platypus Pool
Dita999 > This ajoins the Platypus Pool through a tiny little stream ~ Look at all that amazing moss
Dita999 > A giant (spectacular) fern
