Hi I am a 29 year old Aussie Girl who loves nature - old stuff (houses objects ) - unusal quriky stuff ... and capturing it in a photograph My dream is to be able to capture nature just the way I see it - or a sunset with all it's lovely colours exactly as it is Heres hoping that dream isn't to far off - I have only been taking photos since October 17th 2007 and have joined the Daily Photo Community and even though I don't always add a photo I took that day cos I don't always have a good photo day it has made me PICK UP my camera (PANASONIC~LUMIX `DCM - FZ8) EVERYDAY and since I have had to at least attempt to try take a good photo I have found myself changing the way I take photos and think about photography and have made myself get to know my camera better and learn its functions .... Monday 14th April 2008 ~ This afternoon we had a storm right on sunset these are the clouds on sunset - just as the moon first became visable just seconds before for the evening - the sky was pink red purple and brilliant orange I got some great pics which I plan on adding a few pics to my home album I will add the link when its done so you can see the amazing beauty I saw this afternoon right from my drive way :)

3rd May 2008 ~ I have been up since 3am with Daniel teething so I have brainmush But I'll Live thank you All for being so patient with me and letting me catch up on my posts etc I REALLY DO appreciate it Thank you ALL ... Mum and I have been admiring this flower Farm 6 mins from home for ages but we NEVER go and photograph it til today OBVIOUSLY Mum let me use her old camera which she said I could buy of her for a ridiculously LOW price considering it is only 16months old BUT she does have a very flash new one ANYWAY so I thought I would try it out today see how I like it before I commit to buying it cos (single Mum you all know whats its like and we all love a rather expensive hobby) although at the same time as expensive as the equiptment is once you have it and if you look after it you really don't need to buy it again except by choice (thats how I justify spending the money anyway LOL) anyway I better not carry on its not safe writting captions when I have brain mush

27th March 2008 ~ I cheated today I took this a month or so ago But my good friend got 4 new foster kids today 3 of which are in nappies needless to say she needed a little help so I am putting in an oldie This is a water dragon they are everywhere around here they like the rocks around water features in parks when they aren't in there own habitat and they are unusually bold as far as lizards go they will sit and let you take photos or what ever you are doing as opposed to the usual scurrying of you get from lizards although these guys are a lot bigger than your averavge lizard at around the 40cm (body length - not tail)mark

Rained Buckets today abso;outely poured so I went out to the garden and got one of Mum (hippyfromoz) roses complete with raindrops The photo really does no justice to the simple beauty that is a rose the glistening rain drops on the petals I hope you enjoy it as much as I did ..... Wednesday 14th May 2008 ~ Well I took this on Tuesday I think I was babysitting the foster kids this morning and then stayed on the help with them in the afternoon so we had been there sice 7 am and Daniel did another "Sleep? Who needs that - Sleep is for babies" kind of night and dispite the fact he's barely 70cm tall he's not a baby just ask him ..... I contemplated selling him on ebay but changed my mind when I realised I'd probably have to pay someone to take him (I am kidding I wouldn't swap the little toad for quids) Anyways I am going to go do some motherly duties (yay 4 me - dripping with sarcasm) I will try come catch up with your pics HUGS

Tuesday 6th 2008 ~ I have been having bad photo fever evrything I touch turnes to noise I could possibly have an affliction commonly known as camera shake WOE IS ME .....(dramataic sigh with hand dramaticly draped over forehead) .... Well its not that bad BUT i do enjoy the theatrics - lol ....Every picture I have taken this week and there have been a few hundred you couyldn't make me post with a gun to my head and threats of violence ...I understand BAD photo DAYS but bad photo weeks I have to say It sucks to be me this week - This is one of Mumma roses by the front door HUGS

Monday 12th May 2008 ~ This is the flowers of the tree on the footpath they are bigger than your fist and grow in bunches all over the tree and bottom right hand cprner see those seeds the messy buggers drop them everywhere I have to add todays photo (13th) but I haven't taken it yet and Mumsy and I decided this arvo we are going to take some photos wish me LUCK I will need it HUGS :)

April 1st 2008 ~ APRIL FOOLS DAY ~ Well appropriate or not (being all fools day) Daniel & I spent the entire day at my friend's place with the 4 foster children in nappies I got there at 8am and am just getting home now at 9pm slightly less sane with a bad case of brain mush (am having trouble thinking straight) I am either the biggest fool of the day or a candidate for comitment to the nearest asylum (as is my friend who is obviously crazier than me she is keeping them lol) Well I am not sure what this flower is but if anyone can tell me I would be greatly appreciated I didn't get a chane to take many pics today and the ones I did have children in them that are not mine so I can not post so tghis is one I took at our ancestrial home in Murwillumbah which I am happy to say is still lived in by a family member thats a whole other subject for another day since I have cheated 2 times I hereby swear for at least the next month I will post a photo I took on the day unless I am dying dead or commited to earlier mentioned asylum There you have it in writing NO more cheating from me for quite some time... April 2nd 2008 ~ Introducing "MAGGIE" she is my other baby who I absoloutly adore ... She is one of my 4 favorite people thats right Maggie thinks she's people She's right up there with Daniel Mum and Joel who is my 16 year old lil brother.... Daniel loves her just as much he always keeps one eye on her thru the sliding glass door and tries his very best to grab hold of her when I take him out to visit with her and I have to say she is very careful around him she never jumps up like normal if I have Daniel in my arms and she never nips when he has grabbed hand fulls of her fur she is a magic part of our family and even though I swear at her every now and then I wouldn't want to see her go (BTW she's a husky cross with a kelpie when she's not being people)

30th March 2008 ~ This is Daniel as we took a walk along Buds Beach in Surfers Paradise to take more photos he is 9 months 17days and 8 teeth old He is my sanity and the cause of my insanity all at once It was a good weekend he loves visiting and exploring

Sunday 13th April 2008 ~ Another City view from a different part of town this is taken from Southbank Parklands the place where they held Expo 88 there is a walk along the river front where this was taken there are man made beaches (ugly but HUGELY popular) and lagoons markets resturaunts you name it its there all the swimming and gardens are free there are lots of street preformances and bands most days those are free to the markets are pretty good but they are always packed but It can be a good day out there are So Daniel had his first train ride yesterday he was most impressed on the way in by the way home he was over it but so was Mum and I

Thursady 8th May 2008 ~ I actually took this Friday the 9th BUT I wanted to catch up speaking of which I am TRYING REALLY HARD to catch up with your gallerys BUT you won't even believe me if I tell you ....Cos I nearly can't believe it myself - Daniel Has FLU AGAIN HOW? IS THIS POSSIBLE? obviously it is cos it has happened Rail's foster kids are sick to BUT they have his gastro from last time I THINK it is because it is SOOOOOOOOOOOO COLD here at the moment I DREAD to think of what Winter is going to be like if Autumn is this cold its LOVELY thru the day its just the mornings and nights (only 2/3rds of the time then) that are FREEZING and because Daniel is crawling and always on the floor and we have hard floors which are very cold I think he gets a chill or maybe his immunity is just crap (Can I say that SORRY if I can't I don't want to offend anyone) anyway 6weeks of sick baby is starting to wear me but THANK YOU all for being so patient and supportive of Me and my photos BIG SQUEEZY HUGS FOR U ALL :)

Thursday April 17th 2008 ~ My Baby Brothers 17th Birthday ~ Well as u know Daniel & I are sick well my friend that does foster care is too and the small tribe of kids all in nappies are really sick to so I decided to partake in a random act of kindness and go over and help her I got there at 6_45am and am only getting home now 8:30pm and we are going back tommorow again so I can not poist any of the very few photos I took today because of the subjects so here is were I should have spent the day (If I was well and it was warm ...wishful thinkingLOL)This is Burliegh Heads Beach again only this is looking in the exact opposite direction than the last photo I posted in the Dailies This is a National Park ant it streches around that point there along the other side to another beach it is a lovely walk ... 17th March 2008 ~ St Patricks Day ..Mumma's B'day ... On the way home from Binna Burra we went thru the quaint little town of Beechmont (it's like a step back in time and as perfectly picturesque as is possible) Even these cows were pretty we found them by a Motel (serious) and they were the most amazing colours with sparkling apple sized eyes And they seemed to have character ....a little personality because they were watching us and seemed to register to different things that were happing Anyway I have raved on madly for long enough til tommorrow's DP ...cow chewing cud

April 26th 2008 ~ Officially caught up with my photos YAY 4 ME (insert victory dance here) This guy you see was rowing himself from spot to spot to throw in a line thing was he never stayed in one place for more than a minute (he was about 15 young and impatient BUT that doesn't help your fishing AT ALL)Anyway he was interesting to watch better then the lovey dovey make u sick they are so in love sitting beside us on a mat drinking glasses of wine (not plastic ones either pretty expensive crystal ones)couple admiring the same sunset Mumsy helped me with the PS cause we all know I suck at it see you tommorrow

Sunday May 11 2008 ~ Meet Kyhan at 6 weeks old he is the youngest member of our family he's my cousins (who is also Daniels Godmother)son She and I are the same age and spent every school holidays together when we where growing up and today she came up from the Gold Coast (35-45 min drive from home)with Kyhan (of course and her other two daughters her Mum - My Aunt and our Nana Mum decided a Picnic at Thompsons Beach would be good (apparently 4000 other people did too) so we packed up the kids and the visitors even talked my 16 year old brother and his girlfriend into coming which was a huge shock since normally he won't be seen dead with us in public especially locally .... Anyway went down together had a picnicEverybody had a great time Even Daniel who despite being sick had a ball playing with the older girls and managed to stay completely green eyed and so insanly jealous of Kyhan that not only was I not supposed to nurse him (But I did YaY 4 me)But Daniel did't think anyone should not even Kyhans own Mum every time any one held him Danielwas at there legs trying his hardest to climb them in apersistant effort to be picked up also it was tragic and cute akk at oce Well its midnight her I better go HAPPY MOTHERS DAY 2 ALL

Thursday May 1st 2008 ~ Pinch and a puch for the first day of the month - Ok I know I have missed a day BUT organised me (yeah right) HAS taken a photo every day (that much IS right) even though I have been helping out with the foster kids from6;30am til 9pm every day in fact I have taken over 500 pics in the last 3 days mostly of kids but other stuff too SO I will add the day I missed But as you know this is Daniel and I took this one when we where down stairs trying to wear out the bigger kids (but I think they wore us out more so plan kinda backfired.... meh-live and learn) anyway Daniel had a ball watching us all and then joined in as much as you can when you are 10 months old Anyways I will fill you in on all the interesting stuff tomorrow when I play catch up with my missed day (don't let the suspense kill ya - kidding) BTW I shall catch up my comments tommorrow too :) Til then be good

Wednesday 16th April 2008 ~ Okay this wasn't taken today BUT I have been taking a photo a day but today I got nothin you would wanna see and nothing I would inflict on you in good conscience so with that said here we are with a photo of our only walk bridge over the Brisbane River They call it The Goodwill Bridge I couldn't guess why They have taken the trouble to put in several decks That are un obscured by th design of the bridge that you can stand on and take quite good pics without having half a bridge in your shot quite considerate of them I thought obviously I wasn't standing on one when I took this photo (but I wanted the bridge - thats my story anyway) its actually A LOT bigger than it appears in this pic but this is the major part of the design which I don't find particually attractive But each to there own taste - Again I shall finish my raving here and say seeya tomorrow Til Then Have an excellent day behind your cameras

Monday April 28th 2008 ~ Well another day another sunset Mum took me down to the Point on sunset again I actually had a better time today I took 50ish photos in about the same time frame but the majority of them where of the same thing with different settings to see what worked better and I gotta say I got a quite a few that I am really happy with YAY 4 ME ... Thanks to John and Dave and Ivar for really good advice Thanks Guys :) ... Well I gotta go dishes and Daniels bottles are calling me (very loudly too)...The whole ignore it and it will go away theory doesn't seem to apply with chores...Well B ceeing you's all tommorrow I am going to go help with the foster kids again I am doing it 3 days a week now - we are attempting to shop with them all tomorrow LUCKY ME - I'll let you know how it goes :)

16th March 2008 ~ Aussie kids love these they catch them when the peices are blowing in the breeze and make wishes on them (I am 29 and have been known to as well) or if they where to come across one of these before its had a chance to blow of on its own they would help it on its way making as many wishes as they could before the very last piece blew away they are a lot of fun

21st March 2008 ~ "GOOD FRIDAY" ... About 10 mins from my house in most directions is different beaches bays and mangroves (lots of mangroves) Hence the fact Mumma and I are forever doing the boat photo thing. This pic is more of a very cool tree ( I thought) down at Rocky Passage which is mostly mud mangroves and crabs but pretty in its own mangroovy way like the swimming pool ladder against the tree wondered if it was for hightide Happy Easter Everyone and thank you for your kind wishes for Daniel poor little bugger is very sick still (I forget what sleep actually feels like and my arms have lost all feeling for constantly holding him...But he's worth the sleep deprivation (which is a form of torture in some places) and if I change my mind well there is a black market call for bubba's (I AM KIDDING ) Happy Easter see ya t'morrow

Wednesday 7th May ~ This is one taken the same day as the one Mum helped me with the Post on last week from Manly Marina - I wanted to try a post by myself and wanted to see if oilpainting worked as well on sunsets etc what do you reckon Me I am undecided - But I am still sulking over the photographic afflictions I am currently suffering that I mentioned on the caption previous (I won't put you thru it again BUT I would like to point out in the said caption I USED punctuation so nobody passed out DON"T get spoilt by it and expect it ALL the time cos my brain works faster then my fingers and they have a hard enuf time catching up wif out having to worry about commas and stuff)But I will try to remember cos I like yas all SO much - REALLY - HUGS

Sunday April 20th 2008 ~ Pink Galah - When I was little my fraternal grandparents had a pet one called "Cockie" mean as hell it bit everybody except my Nan unfortunatly my Nan died when I was 3 and Cockie lived another 20 years believe it or not and survived two floods on top of the cupboard just sat there until his owners came back but like I said he was mean so for the years following Nan's death he bit anyone who ever fed him guess no one ever told him about that old saying about not biting the hand that feeds you ... Not sure what it was with my G'parents and mean pets cos they had a dog and there rooster that where all as ferocious as each other (and I was duly terrified off each collecting eggs had me traumatised for years lol) - Anyway thats another story but you won't believe this another day another Dr's appointment it would seem Daniel got over his flu and now has Gastro and Vomitting which I kinda saw coming since my friends littlies had it when I was helping her take care of them the other day ... On the high side he didn't have it all at once he got them separately which seems has been better for him well see you tomorrow

March 25th 2008 ~ You guys have seen the city line where I am from before but here it is again from a different part of town I took this from the Kangaroo Point cliffs in the far right is the Story Bridge which is a magical piece of architecture which I shall bestow upon you tomorrow with one of my rambling captions (Lucky you guys) Ok now I have built up the suspense for tomorrows pic I feel I should shut up ... Sunday 4th May 2008 ~ This is my friend Raeliene she is the single foster Mum with ALL those little kids I go and help 3 times a week she is AMAZING with children they give her children that are difficult and within a week she has them settled in routine and happy She's great I spend 3 days from 6;45am til about 9pm over there because breakfast and Dinner can be the witching hours there all these babies and a toddler hungry at once wanting bottles AND weet-bix ANYWAY it's very early here and Daniel is wanting his .... So this is my very good friend Rails and my Daniel who adores her equally This is one morning at her house :)

10th March 2008 ~ Don't worry aliens haven't landed this is the roof of one of our local shopping centres ... Architects ....What are they thinking???? Well if nothing else it made a photo which I must confess I took on March 3rd ... Sorry :)

Tuesday 15th April 2008 ~ The aptly named Noisy Minah drinking from the flowers in the umbrella tree down the side (popular hangout .... if your a bird or me armed with a camera) lorikeets drink til there drunk Minahs seem to be able to hold there nectar and don't end up flying dangerously low and hitting windows etc But unlike the lorikeet they are not big on sharing outside of there own kind and don't mind throwing there weight around which can be rather entertaining to watch unless of course you are there target anyway enough from me ... BTW still working on pics from yesterdays sunset storm Hoping to have them uploaded to SmugMug Thursday will let you know Have a lovely Day :)

Friday April 11 2008 ~ I am such a sick sook I am terrified I might just die of flu (it could happen!) anyway enuf of my moaning remember a while ago I told you how these guys drink until they are drunk from the umbrella tree then fly around running into things because of the state they have drunk themselves into ell this is exactly that a rainbow lorikeet drinking from the flowers of the umbrella tree and then I did the bubble effect cos that is how my head feels

Monday 5th 2008 ~ Playing catch up ... and just playing as usual it's me playing catch up with my DP been at Foster kids again so today I will add another 2 pics by 8;30pm (AEST) catching up and then I am going to try stick to the whole photo a day deal (emphisise TRY - LOL) Ok This is one of the foster kids when we take them out for outside time (I can put this one in as it does not show his face and I won't name him WE shall just call him R) R is 2.5 and a very sweet boy he is learning how to play because UNFORTUNAELY he has NEVER done it before but he is getting the hang of if fast his words have nearly doubled in the 5 weeks he and his brothers has been with my friend R calls ME Mummy and can NOT be talked into calling me anything else he calls Raeliene Mummy alot but has really taken a a shine to me its very sweet and hard NOT to adore him - we have been over there most days again we went over this morning to do breakfast and help Rails get packed up and kids dressed to go to Foster Carer Training so we were home by 9am today is usually PM but nice to spend the day home with Daniel I LOVE going and helping with these kids and spending time with my friend it makes you feel like you are making a tiny difference and I know the help makes a BIG difference to my friend and even a little one to the kids ... Daniel LOVES R and his Brothers BUT R especially and follows him every where which R usually doesn't mind BUT other time it drives him a bit crazy - ITS VERY CUTE - I used the oilpainting effect on this photo just to try it let me know what you think of it as an effect - well since I have 2 more captions to write today I better stop here or you will all be requesting theropy if I go on much longer and you know there are more coming 3 of my captions in a 8 8 hour span is A LOT for any SANE person HUGS see you shortly

13th March 2008 ~ I know you won't believe me BUT apart from resizing the photo I have done nothing to it (mostly because I am photoshoply challanged) BUT also because the colours of these flowers are pretty incredible on there own and when you go past one of the trees and there are heaps of them they look like giant puffs of brilliant blue and purple the flowers outshime the leaves and completly cover the tree almost as if the leaves and branhes don't exist they are really beautiful I'll snap the whole tree one of these days so you know I am not telling stories.

April 6th 2008 ~ Hi All .... Well it is bucketing down rain and Daniel is being more then a handful so I only got to take 3 pics in a brief 5 min break in the rain and this is one of them ... This is one of the few roses close enough to the house not to land me in the mud I always like the colours in this bush they come up like sunsets BTW I am behind on checking out all your pics I wouldn't miss them, for the world believe me so I will try and catch up tonight after Mr Demanding (who also answers to Daniel) is in bed :)

March 24th 2008 ~ EASTER MONDAY~ So Like the rest of you I am over my boat shots but Daniel is still a bit sick so That leaves home as a subject and since the only interesting thing at home is Daniel here he is on his 2nd breakfast I don't usually indulge him he just eats what he is given but since he has been sick and hardly eating anything when he turned down breakfast AGAIN today after 2 mouthfuls I decided to try some toast and Vegemite and he ate that well some of it and some of it was on the floor but we ate the majority Vegemite is a Winner with all kids here I personally don't know why it is evil *&^*&^ that smells like city smog but what are you gunna do when 99.8% of country love it I am vastly out numbered

9th March 2008 ~ "Manly Marina" .... Mum Daniel and I went for a drive to Manly today (25 mins so not far really) This is a few of the 1000 odd boats docked here you walk along the water front and there are just boats, boats, More boats, Even More Boats ...I mentioned Boats right you...Even with the biggest panarammoic view you wouldn't be able to fit them all in ... They have Markets and dog washing and jumping catsles and giant slides for the kids it's a nice morning out I couldn't capture all the beautiful shades of blue there was in the water ...Sorry its a pretty ordinary pic I will try pick up my game this week (thats the aim anyway):)
